The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum to hold Prohibition-themed Gala

Norwalk, CT – On October 15, 2022, at 7 p.m. at 295 West Avenue, Norwalk, CT, the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum will hold a Speakeasy Gala co-chaired by LMMM Trustees Shannon O’Toole Giandurco and Kathleen Custis. Tickets for the event are $275 and seating is limited, with all proceeds to benefit the Museum’s educational and cultural programs.

LMMM’s Speakeasy Gala will feature notables of the era, an all-original 1926 Ford Model T owned by Peggy and Don Morey, Prohibition-themed rooms, jazz, games, live and silent auctions, a preview of the exhibition titled, Hues of Freedom, curated by artist/designer and LMMM Trustee Gail Ingis, and the ongoing exhibition, Making It Last: Sustainable Fashion in Victorian America, sponsored in part by CT Humanities.

Ms. O’Toole Giandurco said, “This is an exciting evening where people can come together to help us support history, arts, and education, as well as a National Historic Landmark that is one of Connecticut’s most inspiring and treasured destinations.”
