CONNECTICUT, CT – Girl Scouts of Connecticut is making it easier than ever for customers to get their hands on their favorite Girl Scout Cookies this season. Options range from buying directly from troops at Cookie Booths across the state, to DoorDash delivery at home when a cookie craving strikes.

“Cookie sales are critical for individual troops and for our organization, so we wanted to increase convenience for our customers,” said Diana Mahoney, Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Connecticut (GSOFCT). “The proceeds ensure we can offer a broad range of enriching experiences for girls, including summer camp.”

Connecticut girls and troops received their cookie delivery on March 26, 2022 to fulfill initial orders. Cookie booth sales began that same day at local restaurants, retail and grocery stores, and will continue until May 8, 2022.

Mahoney shares how to purchase Girl Scout Cookies quickly and easily using the Cookie Finder system on the GSOFCT website or by downloading the app. From the Cookie Finder, customers are able to support a local troop by ordering online for cookies to be directly shipped to them, finding a cookie booth sale in their community or ordering for same day delivery through Door Dash in selected areas.

“These DoorDash booths are an excellent chance for our older girls to take the lead!” says Mahoney. “Girls will be involved in each step of the process, from receiving, confirming and preparing the orders to ensuring orders are picked up correctly.”

Mahoney notes that each option allows customers to order their favorite flavors; Thin Mints®, Samoas®, Tagalongs®, Do-si-dos®, Trefoils®, Lemon-Ups®, and the new Adventurefuls™.

Most booth sales will also offer customers the opportunity to purchase cookies through Girl Scouts of Connecticut’s Gift of Caring program, Cookies for Heroes. Cookies for Heroes donates boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to service women and men overseas and at home, as well as local community heroes.

Customers who want to donate and are ordering online can click “Cookie Packages Donated” on the cookie order form or the donation option on a Girl Scout’s Digital Cookie online storefront.

Cookies purchased for the Cookies for Heroes Program are $5 per package. All cookie proceeds remain in Connecticut. Funds earned from the cookie program support troop activities, such as community service projects and trips.
