CSFA convention recognizes newly elected officers and honors Reps. Borer and Rochelle for advocacy

The Connecticut State Firefighters Association (CSFA) held their 138th Annual Convention last week to honor several newly elected officers. Ed Waidio, President of the CSFA, Glenn Clark, 1st Vice President of the CSFA, and Ken Mitchell, 2nd Vice President of the CSFA were all recognized for their new roles.

Additionally, the ceremony presented Reps. Borer (D-West Haven) and Rochelle (D-Ansonia/Derby) with an award for their advocacy over the past year. Rep. Borer received recognition as Co-Chair of the State Bonding Committee for securing an additional $5,000,000 towards the Regional Fire Training School Capital Improvements Project. Rep. Rochelle received recognition for her continuous efforts as the lead advocate on behalf of the Valley Fire School and her authorizing a bill for a PILOT program to fund Fire I training for volunteer departments in distressed municipalities.
