Saturday’s Capital Region Gun Buyback program brings the total to 263 firearms taken off the streets in the last six months. These include several assault weapons and nearly 200 handguns similar to those confiscated from criminals by the Hartford Shooting Task Force. The buyback program held today at the Community Renewal Team headquarters on Windsor Street brought in a collection of over 82 firearms including two derringers, sixteen pistols, thirty?two rifles, sixteen shotguns and one assault rifle. CT gas prices up again Average retail gasoline prices in Connecticut have risen 2.3 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.75/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 1,540 gas outlets in Connecticut. The crowd at this annual fundraiser for Stamford's longest-running and only year 'round nonprofit producing theatre company was on its feet several other times during the night, but especially when Nagi Osta, owner of Nagi Jewelry in Stamford, received THE PEOPLES' CHOICE AWARD for raising the most money at this incredibly entertaining event.
