First County Bank is working with Banzai, a national award-winning financial literacy program, to make the curriculum available to 8 schools in the Fairfield, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford, Westport, Wilton areas completely free.

In this unique Fantastic Finds program, Miles discusses a selection of materials featured in the Living in the New World exhibition including items kept on long-term loan at the Beinecke. Selections include The Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Romans, in the Mohawk language, William Hubbard's 1677 discourse on the Pequot War, and an early catechism for young children. Fantastic Finds is free and open to the public.

Circus Storytime with Clare Pernice At Weston Library, April 19
The Weston Library announced the appearance of children’s author/illustrator, Clare Pernice, during their Thursday Storytime on April 19 at 11:00 am. Pernice will bring her exciting “Day at the Circus” program to Weston’s younger set; the author will read from the book she penned and illustrated, Circus Girl, then invite children to create a circus puppet of their choice. Connecticut Weekly Fuel Update and Outlook
Average retail gasoline prices in Connecticut have risen 2.5 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.77/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 1,540 gas outlets in Connecticut. This compares with the national average that has increased 5.2 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.71/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
