STAMFORD, CT - Cushman & Wakefield announced Wednesday that it has promoted Al Mirin to Executive Director in Cushman & Wakefield’s Investment Sales Group. Considered one of the most accomplished commercial real estate professionals in Fairfield and Westchester Counties, Mr. Mirin heads the Private Capital Group, which specializes in middle market building sales ranging from $2 to $20 million.

Recognized as a leader in investment sales in the region for the past 20 years, Mr. Mirin joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2011. Since that time, he has brought C&W’s Private Capital Group into prominence in the region, providing strategic consulting on behalf of owners of office, industrial, retail and multi-housing properties.

“Al Mirin is a dynamic real estate force in the Fairfield and Westchester County investment sales market,” said Jim Fagan, senior managing director and market leader of Cushman & Wakefield’s Fairfield and Westchester County regions. “He is smart, aggressive and very client focused. Since he joined the firm, he has consistently been a top producer and has grown the Private Capital Group into one of the most successful investment sales groups in the region.”

Mr. Mirin previously served as senior vice president at CBRE in Stamford, specializing in investment properties. In that capacity, he acted as advisor in more than 20 million square feet of transactions, totaling in excess of $8 billion and was one of CBRE’s top producers nationwide.

Mr. Mirin has been a member of several industry and business organizations and is currently the vice president of the Real Estate Finance Association. He also serves as board president of both the Human Services Council of Norwalk and 40 South Main Street, a 40-unit shelter in Norwalk, CT. Mr. Mirin has received the Volunteer Action Center’s “Volunteer of the Year” award twice.

Mr. Mirin received a Bachelor of Science in Finance, School of Management, at the State University of New York at Binghamton. He and his family reside in New Canaan, CT.
