Indeed Continues To Expand in Stamford With A Plan To Hire An Additional 500 Workers

Stamford, CT – Governor Dannel Malloy announced this week in a press release that Indeed, the world’s number one job site, is expanding its presence here in Stamford. The technology company earlier this year announced it was expanding its workforce and is now planning to add an additional 500 jobs in Stamford. This will increase the number of workers in the City to 1,700.
Indeed is planning on investing $66 million toward its expansion and is exploring real estate options here in Stamford to accommodate the growth. The company currently leases office space at 177 Broad Street.
“Indeed’s expansion in our state is great news for the well-trained, talented, and sought-out workers in Connecticut’s tech sector,” Governor Dannel Malloy relayed in his press release. “This is a global, innovative company that has recognized the benefits that Connecticut brings to the tech industry. We welcome the company’s capital investment in our state and the growth of hundreds of high-quality jobs that will follow.”
“We are excited to see that Indeed is continuing to expand its operation here in Stamford” said Mayor David Martin. “Stamford is the kind of city where many businesses like Indeed want to be, one with a great, highly talented work force. This is why Stamford remains an attractive business environment for a wide variety of industries”
Indeed is the largest job site in the world, connecting job seekers to millions of employment listings in over 60 countries and 28 languages. The company’s website is utilized across the world by more than 250 million people each month, conducting any number of employment-related activities including searching for jobs, posting resumes, and researching companies.
“I am happy to see that Indeed is making their second announcement in just over a year on adding an additional 500 jobs to their space in Stamford” said Thomas Madden, Director of Economic Development, ‘The additional expansion of the company bodes well for other tech companies that have relocated or thinking of moving to Stamford. We have the work force that these companies are looking for.”
