Mr. Naydenov, who is a junior at Quinnipiac, majoring in Political Science, was one of only eighteen hand-picked new inductees to the society and its QU Chi Tau Chapter. Dr. Scott McLean, Pi Sigma Alpha Chapter Adviser and professor at QU conducted the initiation ceremony and presented all new members with the organization’s lapel pin in front of current members and guests. A special guest to the event was Prof. Tamar Hermann of Open University in Israel. Ms. Hermann, who is also currently a Wilson Fellow at Princeton University, presented a summary on her ongoing research and public opinion polls about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Mr. Naydenov is currently working for ConnecticutPlus.com and the Canaiden Online Media Network and writes a weekly summary of major political news in Connecticut on the ConnecticutPlus.com Politics Blog. The other newly initiated members of Pi Sigma Alpha Quinnipiac University Chi Tau Chapter are (in the order listed on the event’s program): Gerrit T. Blauvelt, Francesca L. Capalbo, Megan E. Barnum, Zachary C. Dendas, Eve E. Efron, Alaina A. Caliendo, Michelle L. Cummins, Lorella L. Praeli, Anne K. Poulsen, Kathryn M. Goodleaf, Stephanie R. Tuorto, David L. Anstett, Corey F. Glynn, Justin P. Schneider, Derek J. Stanley, Christine M. Gamble, Allison M. Cunneen. According to the organization’s web site, “Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, is the only honor society for college students of political science and government in the United States. Pi Sigma Alpha is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) and is designated as a "Specialized, Upper-Division" society by ACHS.” The organization, with main office in Washington, DC, lists more than 700 chapters across colleges and universities in the United States.
