Linda McMahon released Tuesday the first television ad of her campaign for the United States Senate. “Opportunity” features Linda telling her personal story. “When I was born, my family lived in low-income housing until my dad built the little house that I grew up in. We didn’t have a lot of expensive things, but boy, we had a lot of love,” Linda says in the ad. “And across Connecticut, I meet so many people who are struggling with jobs, with health insurance, with business, and I want them to know I’ve walked in their shoes and I will fight for them in the United States Senate.” The 60-second commercial will air statewide and includes many childhood and family photographs of Linda, her parents and her family. “I am thrilled that all of Connecticut will have the chance to get to know Linda as so many of us have over the last several months,” said Kathy McShane, chair of Women for Linda. “Linda has been a working mom and a stay-at-home mom, she’s been knocked down and picked herself back up. I think it’s so important that people know she’s a lot like so many of us across Connecticut.” © Copyright by ConnecticutPlus.com.
