Gov. Malloy announced today that he will be running for reelection this November with Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman once again on the ticket.
He made the announcement during a press conference Friday morning after a meeting of the state Bond Commission.
This sets up a potential rematch between Malloy and Republican Tom Foley. The two met at the polls in 2010 with Malloy narrowly defeating Foley in a tight race.
However, Foley would need to first win the Republican primary where a number of candidates have emerged, but so far his main opponent is his running mate from his 2010 campaign - Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton.
