The Nuzzo Family Foundation is pleased to announce that Logan McCullough of Stamford is the most recent recipient of the Nuzzo Scholarship for students at King Low Heywood Thomas. The Nuzzo Scholarship provides four-year tuition funding for one qualified freshman entering King’s Upper School. Each scholar is selected based on his/her demonstration of academic excellence, leadership potential, and strength of character.

The Nuzzo Family Foundation was established by Salvatore J. Nuzzo in 1999 as a way of remembering the generosity that was shown to him as a high school student. Mr. Nuzzo was able to attend Yale University through the financial support of the Yale Alumni Association in his hometown community, Norwalk.

When establishing the foundation, Mr. Nuzzo asked his four children to select a school and set up a scholarship program for secondary school students in their own community. His daughter, Dana Nuzzo, decided to establish a scholarship for King in 2002. She chose King for its commitment to diversity, as well as its commitment to the individual student.

The Nuzzo Family Foundation also hopes that their scholarships will inspire and encourage the local community to reach out and help accomplished students achieve their dreams of a better education. There is no gift as satisfying, far-reaching, or long lasting as that of a quality education. Secondary students with outstanding academic placement and strong leadership skills are encouraged to contact Carrie Salvatore, Director of Admission and Financial Aid, at admission@klht.org, or by calling the Admission Office at (203) 322-3496, Ext. 352, for more information on the Nuzzo Scholarship and King.
