Hartford, CT - The bipartisan Connecticut League of Conservation Voters recently recognized State Representative Mike Molgano (R-Stamford) for his efforts at preserving the environment with a perfect 100% score for votes supporting green initiatives in Connecticut.

The scorecard grades lawmakers on their votes on up to 20 different bills related to the environment.

“It’s imperative we make sure our state’s environmental issues are always being fully recognized and fully addressed in Hartford,” said Rep. Molgano. “In our last legislative session, we enacted many important pieces of environmental legislation that provided Connecticut residents with a healthier, safer and more beautiful environment. I’d like to thank the League of Conservation Voters for their honorable recognition and the diligent work they do to protect Connecticut’s Environment.”

During the 2012 legislative session, Rep. Molgano co-sponsored bills that will protect open space; reduce harmful levels of phosphorus in Connecticut’s rivers, lakes, and streams; provide better, timely information to address sewage spills; and modernize the state’s coastal zone management laws in a way that balances environmental concerns with the rights of property owners.
