Norwalk, CT - Human Services Council’s 4th Annual KIDZFEST Touch-A-Truck & More Fundraiser to benefit Children’s Connection will be held rain or shine on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 10am – 3pm at Taylor Farm Park, located on Calf Pasture Beach Road in Norwalk. This hands-on interactive family event has Real Vehicles that dig, climb, rescue, crunch, honk and fly! Cost is just $5 per person. KIDZFEST offers the unique opportunity for families to get in and explore construction, emergency and recreation vehicles of all sizes that are typically off limits to the public. Emergency vehicles include: police vehicles, crime scene investigation trucks and ATVs (from local police departments), ambulance, scuba boat, Norwalk fire trucks; construction vehicles: excavator, wheel loader, skid steer, dump truck, cement mixers and race car and just to name a few. Attendees can ride the Roaming Railroad, and participate in other activities including face painting, music, games, and much more! The Meltmobile, as seen on the Food Network, will be serving up some fabulous gourmet grilled cheeses, Hot off the Grille will be serving the best burgers around and Mister Softee’s Ice Cream will be sure to impress with their sweet treats.

KIDZFEST raises funds to support Children’s Connection, a nationally accredited Children’s Advocacy Center that brings together the dedicated and caring investigative and treatment professionals to wrap around families who have experienced child sexual and severe physical abuse while working towards its mission of creating a world where no child is harmed and no family is left without guidance. “We are really excited to be holding this event again,” said Kari Pesavento, Director of Children’s Connection. “KIDZFEST is the biggest touch a truck around and has representation from all of our surrounding towns. This year is shaping up to be our biggest year yet! With more than 40 trucks scheduled to attend as well as other activities, KIDZFEST is gearing up to be the perfect day for a family outing,” added Pesavento. If you would like to make a donation and/or participate in KIDZFEST please contact (203) 849-1111 X3011.
