Linda McMahon greeting families in Norwalk
Greenwich, CT - November 3, 2009 – Republican Linda McMahon is not on the ballot this year, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t on the campaign trail this Election Day.

Early this morning, Linda – who is running for the U.S. Senate seat here in Connecticut - voted at her local polling place the North School in Greenwich. It was busy as people cast their ballot in this year’s local election.

McMahon who is working hard to get on the ballot in the 2010 race is out greeting families today and thanking them for supporting the Republican ticket in their town.

In September McMahon the former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment announced she was running for Senate because she believes uncontrolled spending, massive debt and government run health care will do long term damage to our economy and to our country.

“I have spent the past 30 years growing what began as a 13 employee small business into a publicly traded, global entertainment company that now provides over 500 jobs here in Connecticut .. I understand what it takes to balance a budget, create jobs and grow the economy,” said Linda, a co-founder and former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment, Corp. (NYSE: WWE). “Washington is out of control, and sadly, Senator Chris Dodd has lost his way and our trust. I can’t sit by on the sidelines anymore knowing that I have both the experience and the strength to stand up to special interests and bring badly needed change to Washington.”

Linda McMahon plans to continue traveling around the state encouraging people to get out and vote.

The majority of towns in Connecticut are holding races today. Polls opened at six this morning and will close at eight o’clock tonight.
