NORWALK, CT - It’s the most wonderful time of the year…at Stepping Stones Museum for Children. We’re decking our halls. We’re making our lists and checking them twice. Our elves are working their holiday magic. Soon, we’ll be in the midst of our “fun-tastic” experience, Holiday Happenings. During our “6 Weeks of Wonder” at Stepping Stones, the museum has a sleighful of exciting events and activities here daily in our winter wonderland. Holiday Happenings is a great way to usher in the holiday season and provide many fun moments while creating lasting memories for you and your family.

Do you want to build a snowman? You can or dress one up in our Celebration Courtyard. Enjoy the ‘Best Sock Skating in Connecticut’ in our outdoor rink, get cozy inside our new Winter Chalet with ‘icy’ building blocks to build a play-sized igloo, make your way through our Celebrations Maze, take part in an impromptu dance party with our dancing elves and set ‘em up and knock ‘em down on our Penguin Bowling Alley.

And don’t forget your camera! We repeat, don’t forget your camera! Due to popular demand, we’re adding MORE Santa appearances this year! It’ll be a great opportunity to snap that special photo for holiday cards and gifts. In addition to your time with Santa, you also be able to visit with Frosty and other friends from the North Pole. Magical photo opportunities also abound in front of our 15-foot Holiday Tree, inside our winter snow globe, lighted and tented courtyard, kid-sized Winter Chalet, festive sign posts, myriad of snowmen, spectacular winter murals and seasonally-decorated galleries among other locations. Whew! As if all of those attractions didn’t stuff your stocking already, we’ve got more magic to pack into your sack of fun. Other Holiday Happenings activities include:

Our sock skating rink is definitely a Stepping Stones Museum Staff ‘Top Pick.’ It will be open through the winter and we hope to see your triple axel soon!”
