Norwalk, CT - All children and their grown-up sweethearts are invited to glam-up and show off their swag during Stepping Stones Museum for Children’s early-evening, pre-Valentine’s Day soirée. Hearts will be a-flutter as the award-winning children’s museum transforms its annual Winter Wonderland Children’s Ball into the Children’s Sweetheart Ball on Saturday, February 9, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. Stepping Stones will be rolling out its purple carpet for children and adults for a heartwarming evening of family fun and entertainment.
And while there will not be a fairy godmother casting a spell on a pumpkin, our friends from Cedar Knolls Farm in Libson, CT will be on hand to provide horse-and-carriage rides for you in the bus circle outside of the museum’s iconic entrance. You’ll be able to get your heart rate elevated as our friends from SwingShoes Entertainment teach you how to dance the “Cupid Shuffle,” the “West Coast Swing” and the “Hustle.” You’ll have a ball at Stepping Stones as you make your own corsage and boutonniere, indulge yourself at the heart-shaped cookie bar and pose for the “paparazzi” for some heart-melting photos in a shower of bubbles on that aforementioned purple carpet.
Be sure you bring your camera. Photo opportunities abound as your young heartbreakers and heartthrobs enjoy full access to all the exhibits in our whimsical museum. Bring your appetite as well. A love-ly (and heart-healthy) “candlelit” dinner is optional for purchase in the Healthyville® Cafe.
Tickets for this unforgettable evening for the whole family cost $10 per person and $15 per person for members and non-members, respectively. Children under the age of one will be admitted for free. Children’s Sweetheart Ball tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Registration is required. Space is limited, so register early. Call 203 899 0606, ext. 0 or visit www.steppingstonesmuseum.org/ball.
