Bridgeport, CT - On Monday, January 21, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, The Discovery Museum will be offering free admission all day.

Sponsored by Aquarion Water Company and Pullman & Comley LLC, the theme for celebrating MLK Day this year is “see yourself, be yourself.”

The day will be full of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) learning fun, and opportunities to speak with leaders who are working in these fields each and every day.

“At The Discovery Museum, we’re committed to providing opportunities for engagement and reflection, especially on this important day,” said Bill Finch, the museum’s executive director.

Here’s a list of some of the activities that will take place during the MLK Day celebration:

Engineering classroom, sponsored by the University of Bridgeport
Mini-med school
Design a building in Discovery City in the Energy Garage maker space
Make-and-takes
Live science demonstrations in the Energize CT Theater
Shows in the Henry B. DuPont III Planetarium
Books from Friends of the Bridgeport Public Library
