Johnny Peers will be surrounded and stumped by his talented friends the Muttville Comix at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, September 11 during two performances, 11 a.m. & 2 p.m.
When 15 clever, conniving canines take the stage with master Johnny Peers at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, September 11, during two performances (11 a.m. & 2 p.m.), the pups will climb ladders, jump through hoops, walk tightropes and knock their master down. The canine antics are hilarious and heartwarming as each of the 15 dogs has been rescued by Peers, nurtured and trained to put on a show that kids of all ages love. After the show, children in the audience are invited to come to the stage and meet the dogs. The show is part of the Pepsi Children's Series and is underwritten by Noah’s Ark Animal HospItal & South Salem Animal Hospital and partially underwritten by Blue Buffalo Co., makers of BlueTM Natural, Healthy & Holistic Dog + Cat Food , Kiddy Cars and Wooster School.
Peers has successfully presented his comic canine routine from coast to coast and on four continents. His television appearances include the David Letterman Show and Primetime Live. Johnny Peers & the Muttville Comix won 1st place on Animal Planet's “Pet Star” in 2003. Peers was introduced to his career when his father ran a concession stand at the Ringling Circus. While working with his father, he studied the clowns and eventually found his passion. Peers joined the Ringling Clown College and graduated in 1970. A few years later he created his Charlie Chaplin- like character and created his canine entourage.
