Mark your calendars for WEBE-108’s annual Kids Fest -- the Sunday, March 28th fun-filled expo. Kids Fest takes place at the Wilton High School Field House from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., and is open to children of all ages, parents, grandparents and prospective parents. Kids Fest is both entertaining and educational; it’s a unique opportunity for local residents to learn about over one hundred family-oriented businesses and healthcare services, especially those serving Fairfield County’s younger set.

Dr. Mark Goldenberg, Executive Director of the Brain Balance Achievement Center in Norwalk, will be on site as an exhibitor. A Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist, Dr. Goldenberg can speak to parents of those with ADD, AD/HD, OCD, Tourette Syndrome, Dyslexia, learning disabilities and spectrum disorders regarding his drug-free approach.

Research in neuro-behavioral disorders, such as AD/HD and Autism, indicates that an imbalance between the right and left sides of the brain causes a communication breakdown and is the underlying cause of learning challenges. Based on these findings, Dr. Goldenberg’s Brain Balance Program involves physical and cognitive activities, combined with nutritional changes aimed at restoring harmony among the brain’s hemispheres.

Visiting the Brain Balance booth ma prove helpful to parents who suspect their child has learning issues. Red flags may include weak motor control, visual and spatial difficulties, inability to follow directions and awkward social interaction. According to Goldenberg, “These issues are common, but can be successfully met and overcome.” Enrollment at the Brain Balance Center is ongoing and children six years of age and older are eligible for the program. Additional details on Dr. Goldenberg’s ground-breaking technique can be found at www.brainbalancecenters.com or by calling his Norwalk facility at 203.847.3000. Dr. Goldenberg is also available to speak to teacher and parent organizations.

In addition to health and wellness professionals, Kids Fest will feature an ever-popular bounce house, as well as free caricatures and face painting. Live entertainment will include children’s recording artist, Lynn Lewis & Friends, and Brain Lizotte, who will wow the crowd with his show-stopping magic. Kids will also enjoy WEBE-108’s bunny trail, lined with treats.

Admission is $5.00 for adults and kids twelve and under are free. The event will be held rain or shine. For more information, visit www.webe108.com.
