Music, fantasy and fun for children of all ages will be center stage when Arts in Education Brings “Stone Soup & Other Stories”
Especially designed to delight very young audiences (but adults will appreciate it, too), “Stone Soup & Other Stories” is a collection of tales each of which explores value issues while introducing lifestyles and customs of various cultures. A full-scale production brimming with music, color, fantasy and fun, this Arts in Education show will take place at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, March 26, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The “Stone Soup & Other Stories” production, presented by the Pushcart Players, is sponsored by the Philip H. and Christine Lodewick Foundation, Union Savings Bank and the Wadsworth Lewis Trust Fund and is part of the Arts in Education series at The Ridgefield Playhouse.

An enchanting pick of thoughtfully selected folk tales from around the world, “Stone Soup & Other Stores” supports the literacy movement's emphasis on the joy of reading. Dynamic, participatory and filled with stimulating entertainment, this is a not-to-be-missed presentation for young audiences. Pushcart Players is an award-winning professional theatre and arts-in-education ensemble that offers a fully orchestrated and staged Broadway-like production with cast and crew who provide high impact musical numbers that enrich and delight audiences of all ages.
