The Hotel Zero Degrees has promoted Mia Schipani to VP of Business Development, Marketing and PR for RMS Construction, LLC

Mia Schipani has been promoted to Vice President of Business Development, Marketing and Public Relations for RMS Construction, LLC and will report to the President and CEO, Randy Salvatore. Mia will responsible for all new business development, marketing and public relations for the RMS Construction Company as well as RMS affiliates within the portfolio to include the Hotel Zero Degrees, built and owned by Randy Salvatore.

RMS Construction, L.L.C. is Fairfield County's premier building services firm, offering commercial and residential clients a comprehensive resource for all their development and construction needs.

Most recently Mia was hired as Director of Business Development for the Hotel Zero Degrees to spearhead building the brand and getting the hotel “off the ground.” Now that the hotel is coming upon its 1st Year Anniversary, Mia will be taking on similar responsibilities at the RMS Construction Company.

Previously, Mia worked as the Director of Business Development and Marketing for the F. D. Rich Company, a Real Estate Development Company based in Stamford CT. Mia was responsible for all new business development, sales, marketing and public relations for F.D. Rich’s downtown Stamford and South Norwalk properties, as well as, The Hotel Chesterfield. Mia graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Emerson College in Boston and is actively engaged in the community. Mia serves as a Board of Director for The Volunteer Center of Southwestern CT, the Fairfield County Sports Commission and the Stamford YMCA. Mia also volunteers as a marketing and public relations advisor to the Stamford Hospital Foundation and for the Go Red Campaign for the American Heart Association. Mia is a recipient of Fairfield County Business journals’ 2009 Fabulous Fairfield County Women and the 2006 “40 Under 40.” Mia resides in Stamford.

The New Director of Sales appointed to the Hotel Zero Degrees is Diane Young. For the previous 7 years, Diane worked as the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Four Points by Sheraton in Norwalk, CT. Prior, Diane worked as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Somerset Hills Hotel in Basking Ridge, NJ and worked for Marriott International. Diane assisted in the pre-opening Sales and Marketing for five New Jersey Hotels and was based out of the 235-room Courtyard by Marriott in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. After a move to Connecticut in 2003, Diane joined the Waterford Hotel Group, the parent company of the Four Points Sheraton. Diane lives in Fairfield.

Hotel Zero Degrees, located in Downtown Stamford CT, is the newest and only 97-room, affordably priced, boutique hotel in lower Fairfield County. Since the launch early this year, the Hotel has established strategic partnerships with many other Stamford downtown businesses and local organizations to help increase business for all local, Stamford business owners.
