Every year the HBRA of Fairfield County and the HBA of CT recognize the best in the building industry. Awards are given in many different categories and represent all facets of the industry ranging from from leadership to quality to philanthropy.

This year two homes designed by Greenwich based Steven Mueller Architects, LLC won HOBI awards for quality in home building. The first award was for OUTSTANDING SPEC HOME between $5-6 million. The builder of the house is Ben Velishka of Dayton Builders. The waterfront property in the Davenport Point section of Stamford is built in the coastal shingle style. It is 6,600 square feet. The house is located at 247 Davenport Drive, Stamford, CT. The second HOBI Award was for the BEST IN TOWN SPEC HOME. The builder is Jay Ross of Greenwich Residential Properties. The house is located at 60 East Elm Street in Greenwich, CT. It is built in the contemporary federal style is 5,300 square feet.

Both of these homes are featured on the award winning website of Steven Mueller Architects, LLC at www.stevenmuellerarchitects.com . The houses are in the new construction section as the first and second house. The website also features a plethora of the firm’s outstanding residential architecture projects including new and renovated homes as well as works in progress. Viewers of the site have the opportunity to navigate a menu of “identifying features” that illustrates each style in the firm’s portfolio. For a client interested in the shingle style, this feature depicts the architectural characteristics quintessential of that style.

Held this week at the Aqua Turf Country Club, Southington, CT, this prestigious awards gala showcased the best products and services offered by HBRA members in many categories under new home construction, land development, remodeling, commercial construction, sales and marketing and financing. It was attended by 750+ industry colleagues and friends and offers significant recognition for outstanding HBA members.
