It’s back….. the Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan is hosting the annual Art Materials & Equipment Tag Sale Fundraiser on Saturday, April 21st, from 10am to 5pm. Proceeds from the tag sale, which first began in 2007, will benefit the Silvermine Scholarship Fund.
An assortment of great treasures can be found at the tag sale, including stretcher bars, paints (oil, acrylics, watercolors and pastels), a wide variety of frames, cameras, enlargers, ceramic supplies, painting and drawing materials, photography, printmaking, jewelry and sculpture supplies and equipment, and of course art books. All at unbelievable prices!
Donations are also needed for the tag sale. As you clean out your studio and all other spaces to get rid of the clutter that has piled up, you can donate your art related items to the School of Art. Any used or unused art materials, equipment and art books can be dropped off at the Silvermine Arts Center Auditorium on Wednesday, April 18th and Thursday, April 19th from 10am to 5pm both days. For early drop-offs please call the School office.
The School of Art is a community based non-profit organization that fosters, promotes, and encourages artistic and educational endeavors. Even though tuition fees for courses and workshops are competitive with other art schools in the region, there are still students who cannot take advantage of what Silvermine has to offer due to lack of funds. To assist these students, Silvermine School of Art has a developing scholarship program based on need and talent. Funds received from events such as the tag sale, go toward providing art education to a deserving student. For further information call 203-966-6668, ext. 2 or email email@example.com.
