Liver Disease and Transplantation Panel
On Saturday, November 21, an expert medical panel featuring physicians from Greenwich Hospital and the Yale-New Haven Transplantation Center will discuss liver disease and transplantation from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon in Greenwich Hospital’s Noble Conference Center. In addition to addressing specific liver ailments such as Wilson disease and hemochromatosis, the panel will also discuss the epidemic of fatty liver disease in children, “living donor” transplantation, and the factors that are taken into account when an adult or child is considered as a candidate for a liver transplant.
Panelists include Dr. Michael L. Schilsky, Medical Director, Adult Liver Transplant, Yale-New Haven Transplantation Center; Dr. Sukru H. Emre, Chief of Transplant and Immunology, Director of Yale-New Haven Transplantation Center; and Dr. Richard Rosencrantz, Pediatric Liver and GI Specialist at Greenwich Hospital.
