A Spicy Success! Simsbury Spooktacular Chili Challenge Draws Record Crowd

A spirited crowd of more than 3,000 enjoyed red hot chili on a beautiful fall day at the 5th Annual Simsbury Spooktacular Chili Challenge on Sunday, October 20th. The outdoor Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center was filled with families enjoying music, trick-or-treating and entertainment along with plenty of beer and chili sampling.

Exploring Our Natural World Lecture Series Debuts at Norwalk PL November 2
Norwalk Public Library is pleased to announce a new lecture series, Exploring Our Natural World, which will begin on Saturday, November 2, at 3 p.m., with the presentation, “We Hold the Key to Keeping Our Water Clean: Protecting Water Quality in the Norwalk River,” delivered by Louise Washer. Due to weather concerns, Stepping Stones Museum for Children is moving the outdoor portion of Latin Dance Night @ 303 in the Park to a new date, Friday, June 28 from 8:00 pm - midnight. But we’re not letting this news rain on our parade. Latin Dance Night’s indoor VIP reception is still on for Friday, June 21 from 7:00 – 9:30 pm. So, we’re still heating up the first night of summer with a spectacular, 21-and-older Latin dance party. Now, we’ll just get to have our fun on two consecutive Fridays as next week brings the outdoor component of the event.
