Stamford Downtown introduces a new art show at the Pop-Up Gallery at 96 Bedford Street
The Vicious Circle, a Stamford independent art exhibiting cooperative will host a pop-up art and music gallery at 96 Bedford Street, December 7-14. The Opening Reception is scheduled for Saturday, December 7th, 5-8 pm, which will be live streamed over the internet.

Christmas portion of Handel's Messiah featured at the Norwalk Symphony's annual "Joys of the Season" concert on December 14

SHU alumnus wins award at local film festival

A short film by Sacred Heart alumnus Tyler Stirling was recognized at the 2019 Ridgefield Independent Film Festival (RIFF) as the best student film. Stirling created his 16-minute narrative work, Little Things, while he was in SHU’s film and television master’s program.

Westport Country Playhouse Presents Sunday Symposium for World Premiere Translation/Adaptation of Molière’s “Don Juan”

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Sunday Symposium on November 10, following a 3 p.m. performance of the world premiere translation and adaption of Molière’s, “Don Juan,” a modern take on the classic, comic satire. Speakers will be Brendan Pelsue, translator and adaptor of “Don Juan,” and David Kennedy, Playhouse associate artistic director and director of “Don Juan.” They will engage in conversation about the modern-dress production of the classic comedy, moderated by Dana Tanner-Kennedy, production dramaturg for “Don Juan.” The Playhouse Sunday Symposium program is free and open to the public.

Exploring Our Natural World Lecture Series Debuts at Norwalk PL November 2

Due to weather concerns, Stepping Stones Museum for Children is moving the outdoor portion of Latin Dance Night @ 303 in the Park to a new date, Friday, June 28 from 8:00 pm - midnight. But we’re not letting this news rain on our parade. Latin Dance Night’s indoor VIP reception is still on for Friday, June 21 from 7:00 – 9:30 pm. So, we’re still heating up the first night of summer with a spectacular, 21-and-older Latin dance party. Now, we’ll just get to have our fun on two consecutive Fridays as next week brings the outdoor component of the event.
