Newtown Savings Bank enhances sponsorship of Ives Concert Park events
Ives Concert Park in Danbury announced recently an enhanced sponsorship partnership with Newtown Savings Bank, a longtime sponsor of the Fine Arts & Family Series at the venue located on the Westside campus of Western Connecticut State University. “Events at the Ives” will now be “Powered by Newtown Savings Bank,” and will be indicated as such by a new combined logo for Ives events.

Stepping Stones Museum for Children's Latin Dance Night Moves to a New Date - Fri. 6/28
Due to weather concerns, Stepping Stones Museum for Children is moving the outdoor portion of Latin Dance Night @ 303 in the Park to a new date, Friday, June 28 from 8:00 pm - midnight. But we’re not letting this news rain on our parade. Latin Dance Night’s indoor VIP reception is still on for Friday, June 21 from 7:00 – 9:30 pm. So, we’re still heating up the first night of summer with a spectacular, 21-and-older Latin dance party. Now, we’ll just get to have our fun on two consecutive Fridays as next week brings the outdoor component of the event.

Community leaders kick up their heels for local theatre
Not since Cain and Abel has there been a fraternal rivalry like the one at Curtain Call's Dancing with the Stars event, Saturday night, May 18. And though there was a casket onstage later in the evening, there was no bloodshed, and one brother came out on top when Chris Carozza of the Carozza Realty Group, bested his brother, Michael Carozza of Carozza Fitness, by winning the Judges’ Choice Award (male division). Chris’ professional partner was Iraida Volodina of Arthur Murray Greenwich.

Stepping Stones Honors Active-Duty Military Families with Blue Star Museums Program
Today, Stepping Stones Museum for Children announces it will join museums nationwide in participating in the tenth summer of Blue Star Museums, a program which provides free admission to our nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families this summer. The 2019 program will begin earlier than in past years, launching on Saturday, May 18, 2019, Armed Forces Day, and ending on Monday, September 2, 2019, Labor Day. Military can find the list of participating museums at arts.gov/bluestarmuseums. Since 2012 when the award-winning children’s museum first joined the nationwide program, Stepping Stones has not only offered free admission during the summer months, but thanks to tremendous local support, it has extended the free offer all year long.
