Branchwater, June 1 at the Warner
Branchwater, a 5-piece blues/rock/jazz band from Northwest Connecticut will perform on Saturday, June 1 at 6pm in the Warner’s Nancy Marine Studio Theatre. Members of the band include: Mike Brightly on lead guitar and vocals, Chris Connelly on guitar, Elliot Hall on drums/percussion, John Carroll on bass and Henry Kavle on organ.

Fairfield Museum Plans Annual Memorial Day Picnic; Participates in Blue Star Museums Program
The Fairfield Museum will kick off summer with some exciting events and programs, beginning with the annual Memorial Day Community Picnic from noon to 3 pm on May 27th. Local jeweler among civic leaders at Dancing with the Stars fundraiser

A guy who is used to making others sparkle was shining on stage at Curtain Call's sixth annual Dancing With The Stars fundraiser held at The Palace Theatre in Stamford, Saturday night, May 18. The crowd at this annual fundraiser for Stamford's longest-running and only year 'round nonprofit producing theatre company was on its feet several other times during the night, but especially when Nagi Osta, owner of Nagi Jewelry in Stamford, received THE PEOPLES' CHOICE AWARD for raising the most money at this incredibly entertaining event. Osta's dancing was terrific as well and his partner, Rosa Fanelli of Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom of Greenwich made him shine like the diamonds he sells!

The professional fashion show starts at 7:30 p.m. The founder of the Lyn Evans fashion franchise, Lyn Evans Shotkus, will co-host this stylish evening, as the audience springs into fashion and helps fight cancer at the same time. Keystone Revisited has even written and recorded a few new songs with the same heart and soul including “These Troubled Times” and “It’s A Love Thing”. Sunday night, May 12, marks end of an era as The Ridgefield Playhouse forsakes reel-to-reel for digital films

Sunday night, May 12, will mark the end of an era as the last 35 millimeter film is shown at The Ridgefield Playhouse at 6 p.m., when GI Joe runs as the last reel-to-reel film before the Playhouse takes the leap into the digital film age. On Monday, May 13th, the digital projector installation will take place, and the first digital film will be shown on Monday, May 20th (title TBD). Local artist Chris Curnan is removing the old projector and will be creating a piece of artwork with it. "We're not sure if we'll be auctioning that off for fundraising or if we'll keep it as a piece of artwork in front of the Playhouse," said Allison Stockel, Executive Director of the not-for-profit Playhouse.
